The Kavanagh Education Trust

2022 Annual Report of Trustees

Pursuant to Ohio law and the Declaration of Trust of the irrevocable trust agreement for the Kavanagh Education Trust, dated the 15th day of October, 2002, the Trustees of the Trust prepare and disseminate this annual report to the beneficiaries. The beneficiaries of the Trust are the descendants of William and Rose Kavanagh, as defined in the declaration of trust.

Grantors, Joseph J. Kavanagh, Eugene W. Kavanagh, and Lloyd R. Kavanagh created an irrevocable trust agreement in October 2002. The Trust was established for the purpose of financially assisting beneficiaries who are earnestly and sincerely seeking an education. The Trustees are obligated to hold, manage, control and dispose of the trust estate to benefit the named beneficiaries of the Trust.

The Trustees operate the Trust pursuant to the law of the State of Ohio through the directions and actions of the five Trustees set forth below. The Trust is the sole shareholder of stock in Kavanagh Holdings LLC. That Ohio limited liability company owns two farms in the South Charleston, Ohio, area. Those farms consist of approximately 560 acres of land, one house, and a number of outbuildings. Additionally, the Trust is the owner of a ten-unit apartment house at 5 Chillicothe Street, South Charleston, Ohio. The Trustees reasonably manage and control those assets so as to produce income for the benefit of the beneficiaries. The recent financial statement of the Trust indicates the assets of the Trust are approximately $5 million. During the past calendar year the Trustees had income of approximately $200,000 and distributed approximately $100,000.

The records of the Trust are maintained by the Trustees and are in the possession of Joseph N. Monnin. He can be reached at . The records of the Trust maintained by the Trustees are open for inspection and review by any beneficiary at a mutually agreed time.
